LGBTQ-Friendly Employer + Student Mixer
Join us for an evening of networking with local companies who have LGBTQ resource groups! Connect with employers who are eager to share information about their company's culture, possible job openings and inclusivity practices and policies.
During the first hour, CU Boulder Alum Nick Sophinos will share some tips on the job search process, searching for LGBTQ-friendly employers and finding community in the workplace.
Nick Sophinos is a Data Scientist II at S&P Global Platts as well as a board member of their global LGBT+ employee resource group. He graduated from The University of Colorado Boulder with dual degrees in Psychology and Sociology and is always looking for the next mountain to climb. Nick has spent some time working in probation, addiction counseling, and the financial domain. He has succeeded in growing S&P Global's LGBT+ group from two members to over 80, and continues to foster it's success as well as working with coworkers overseas to develop new chapters. Outside of work he enjoys more than a few board games and exploring Colorado's wilderness. He is committed to helping CU Boulder students with their career and job search plans, helping them to find LGBTQ-friendly work environments.
