Listen to stories of climate change in the Arctic

The Earth Sciences & Map Library will host an interdisciplinary panel discussion, “Direct Encounters with Arctic Landscapes,” on November 15 from 4 - 5 p.m. The discussion will feature scientists and artists who have spent a significant amount of time in the Arctic reflecting on the rapidly changing landscape and how that has impacted their professional and personal lives. They will tell stories of adventure, forging close personal connections and the challenges of working in a rugged environment.

The panel discussion will take place within the immersive exhibit “Sensing Ice” created by Chris Dunn. This event is free and open to the public.
