Mahler's second symphony is a visionary work that anchors a week of discovery and exploration that includes the link between Mahler and Wagner, including a performance of Act One of Wagner’s Die Walküre, Philip Sawyers’ monumental tone poem Hommage to Kandinsky, and Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time.
