As we approach the beginning of a new semester, we may find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, worried, anxious, angry, and even excited. During our 50 minute “Mindfulness self –care practices to approach difficult times” lunch and learn participants will be guided through a 15-20 minute mindfulness exercise that will lead to 20 minutes of guided art and journaling. Participants are welcome to share what their experience was with other attendees in the big group, and are also welcome to sit back and listen to others. Paper and writing materials will be needed for this lunch and learn, and colored pencils, markers, crayons are encouraged but not necessary.

At the end of the session, participants will:

  • Calm their own nervous system in the moment.
