Mornings at the Museum: Colorado Fossils

Did you know that Colorado used to be miles below an ocean? This weeks topic is all about local fossils that were made during this time. Focussing on shells, you will learn about ammonites, trilobites, bivalves and foraminifera and even make impressions.

About: The CU Museum's Mornings at the Museum program provide a hands-on introduction to the wonderful world of science, literacy and nature! Have fun learning together as you examine museum specimens, make crafts, hear a story and even make new friends! The program is free and will feature a different theme each week, so stop by weekly to experience a new wonder each time! Perfect for parents, grandparents and caregivers with children ages 2-5.
