Motion Capture Workshop: The Art of Tracking Everything (2)

Whether you want to create an animation of a character with human-like movement or if you want to track a moving object through space, motion capture systems can be an easy and useful solution. Motion capture is highly used in robotics, AR/VR and animation. ATLAS has two dedicated spaces equipped with motion capture systems. This hands-on workshop provides practical information on how to use these systems for a wide variety of projects. Day one includes a review of projects that use motion capture systems and instruction on how to create and locate an object (a drone, AR/VR headset, etc). Day two will focus on how to record human movement, tracking data from all major anatomical body parts. Come join us to learn how to use this valuable resource for a wide range of applications. (Due to COVID restrictions, only current students and employees of CU Boulder may participate.)
