About this Event
The Leeds School of Business Teaching Excellence Committee invites you to attend the 3rd Annual Teaching Excellence Distinguished Speaker presentation by CU Boulder Professor of Computer Science Clayton Lewis.
As online educators, how do we effectively convey a concept over Zoom? Our methods to demonstrate ideas may seem limited over a screen—or perhaps the opposite is true.
Advances in technology are providing an abundance of new resources that can be used in teaching. Animations can now be created in a few minutes. Custom sounds can render large data sets in auditory form. Interactive simulations can enable learners to explore phenomena with more flexibility than a textbook.
Using educational challenges from Leeds faculty, Dr. Lewis will present a framework for understanding representations and how they provide value to the differing needs of learners.
