Noticing, Naming, and Compassionately Responding to Our Pandemic-Influenced Experiences
With Katie Kearns, Assistant Vice Provost for Student Development, Indiana University Bloomington
Our current pandemic-influenced language incorporates many phrases referring to the past (“The Before Times”) and the future (“when things go back to normal”). What do we need to learn to talk about in our present experiences? We will talk about why it’s hard neurobiologically and emotionally to be in the present right now. Additionally, we will share mindfulness strategies for accepting what is right now and strategies for staying in alignment with our goals.
Register for this session to receive the Zoom link. You will need to log in with your CU IdentiKey credentials to register, which will collect your name, email, and unit so we know who's coming and can best prepare.
Registration is open until the beginning of the session.
