Description: Join two public librarians as they discuss the implications for public libraries and public patrons of making research more accessible to all. Celine Cooper of Boulder Public Library and Jennifer Hoffman of Denver Public Library will address what barriers to information equity exist beyond access itself, and how scholars and libraries can make open access information more discoverable and digestible for a lay audience, amongst other topics.
Speaker Bios:
Jennifer Hoffman: As Manager of Books & Borrowing, Jennifer Hoffman oversees Circulating Services for the Denver Public Library system, ensuring account policies and circulation procedures support DPL's values of Welcoming, Curiosity, Connection, Equity and Stewardship.
Celine Cooper: Celine Cooper is an Outreach Specialist with the Boulder Public Library. Her work focuses on bringing early literacy and STEAM resources to Spanish-speaking and under-resourced community members throughout the Boulder area.
