Online Teaching Community of Practice (OCoP) Monthly Meeting Schedule

Sept. 20, 1-2 p.m.

The Digital Accessibility Office (DAO) frames digital accessibility as “all people should have the opportunity to access the same information and services in the digital environment without facing undue barriers or burdens.” To enhance awareness and create a more inclusive online classroom environment, the DAO will give a brief introduction to the accessibility services available at CU Boulder and take a deeper dive into applicable accessible online teaching tips. By the end of the Community of Practice session, attendees will better understand and discuss how to increase accessibility and inclusivity within their courses.

OCoP Mission: This community of practice will amplify exemplary work already happening across campus, from training and workshops to innovative course design and student-centered pedagogy. But its most important goal will be to create a space for dialogue that builds trusted relationships among collaborators by sharing effective strategies and practices, encountering challenges with empathy, and facing change with community. This is not “just another meeting” - this is a network of trusted collaborators invested in doing what we do, better.
