Parallel Computing with R

Is your workflow outgrowing your laptop? Run R code utilizing all cores of your laptop, or a supercomputer. You will start by learning to prepare and run R code with the ‘parallel’ package on your laptop. If time allows, you will employ the ‘pbdMPI’ package on the RMACC Summit supercomputer to run R code examples across multiple compute nodes.

Prerequisites: Minimal R coding experience preferred, but open to all levels. Please have R and RStudio installed on a personal laptop.

** Please enter your name on the waitlist if we reach capacity. We may offer an additional session or move to a larger room depending on interest. **
