FCQ data can be used in conjunction with other datasets to reflect on broader trends in teaching and learning at the program level. In this workshop, we will illustrate ways to use online dashboards to examine trends in program-level FCQ data. Department chairs, program directors, and other academic leaders will learn how to explore, interpret, and use program-level FCQ data to lead productive, collaborative discussions in their departments regarding teaching and learning.

In addition, we will provide guidance on how to use other data sources, such as the CU Boulder NSSE (National Survey of Student Engagement) data, to complement the interpretation of program-level FCQ data. We will also present additional measures of teaching effectiveness (including peer evaluations of teaching and student focus groups) that can help programs develop a robust, multi-measure approach to assessing teaching effectiveness at the program level and establish best practices in their department.

Please note that this is Part 2 of a 2-part series, with Part 1 focusing on instructor-level FCQ data and Part 2 focusing on program-level FCQ data. Although Part 2 will build on Part 1, you are welcome to attend one or both sessions.

Facilitated by Kelly Gildersleeve, Assistant Director, Center for Teaching & Learning
