The College of A&S has committed to making teaching evaluations more explicit, routine, and equitable through the Quality Teaching Initiative (QTI). QTI focuses on 3 Dimensions of teaching quality (Inclusive, Scholarly, Goal Oriented), using 3 Voices (Students, Peers, Self) with 1 Goal: Clear departmental standards and expectations for how teaching is evaluated. This workshop is intended for anyone working on implementing QTI in their unit who would like to learn more about Self Voice and how it can be used to demonstrate teaching quality as part of your unit’s teaching evaluation practices. Participants will get a brief overview of the current status of QTI, review example guidance on self-reflection and self-evaluation developed by A&S departments, consider how these examples align with the three QTI dimensions, and be prepared to adopt or adapt these examples for their own units.
