Join the LGBTQ studies program and the WGST department for the fall 2024 Queer Theories Graduate Symposium! Graduate students will present on original works related to disidentifications, the U.S. south, regionality, and rurality, pop culture/performance/media/digital, decoloniality and liberation, and Global South perspectives.
Following presentations of original work by Queer Theories graduate students at the Gates Woodruff Cottage, Keynote Speaker Matt Brim will present on an expansion on his recent works, including Poor Queer Studies: Confronting Elitism in the University, which calls for a reconceptualization for Queer Studies as a class-based knowledge project within the stratified university world.
