Rec Center Demo Week: Contemporary Dance

This open-level contemporary dance class fuses movement traditions from jazz, ballet and modern dance into one highly physical and always playful technique class.  

Focus is placed on the strength, coordination and control training central to ballet, an expressive use of the arms and torso fundamental to modern, and the musicality and expressivity found in jazz dance.  In true contemporary style, moving into and out of the floor with ease and efficiency in inverted and aerial activities and safe risk-taking will be constantly investigated.
