Information session for students interested in studying social movements and environmental justice in Oaxaca, Mexico in June and July of 2026.  This nine-credit, eight-week program is hosted by an independent provider based in Oaxaca, SURCO, and offers a field-based, immersive program.  The program includes intensive Spanish instruction to improve students’ language skills, from beginners on up through heritage speakers, and includes homestays with families. 

The information session will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 4–5 p.m. at Guggenheim 101, and will be hosted by Joe Bryan, the CU faculty contact for the program.  The program is part of CU’s Study Abroad offerings.  Up to six credits from the program can count towards the Latin American and Latinx Studies Certificate.
