CESR is so excited to offer this iteration of our Sustainability Consulting Skills Workshop, taught by Kimberly Kosmenko, an experienced sustainability consultant, owner of a Certified B Corporation impact consulting practice, and MENV instructor. There are two parts to this series, an intermediate and an advanced. Please read about each of the sessions below. We strongly encourage those who wish to attend Part II to attend Part I as well. Part I - Technical Consulting Skills for Corporate Sustainability Assessments In sustainability management, the old adage “you can’t manage what you don’t measure” is true. Learn how sustainability consultants and internal sustainability advisors define metrics for success, and collect and validate sustainability data. Gain knowledge about the common metrics and terminology for measuring climate impact, energy, water, waste, and procurement. Throughout this intermediate-level workshop, we will discuss pragmatic considerations for data management. For example, we will compare a selection of management tools and software platforms, such as the B Impact Assessment, SDG Action Manager, EnergyStar, and Measurabl. You will have the opportunity to engage in analytical activities and discussion to experience the ways that consultants turn data into impact.
