Join Keller Center Director Steve Vanderheiden for the fourth in a series of campus fora about the current status and enduring importance of the Five Freedoms of the First Amendment, focusing here on the two religion clauses (establishment and free exercise). Professors Rober Nagel of the CU Law School and Deborah Whitehead of the CU Religious Studies department will discuss what now threatens or is threatened by religious freedom, how the rights and freedoms associated with these two clauses shape the role of religion in public life, and how First Amendment law and associated values feature in contemporary societal controversies.
