Admiral Howard served over 35 years in the U.S. Navy. She is the first 
African American woman to command a ship, the first woman to achieve 
the rank of four-star Navy Admiral, and the first woman appointed as Vice 
Chief of Naval Operations. 
This presentation traces 250 years of naval innovation across the 
Seven Seas and airspace, space, cyberspace, and the seabed-to-space 
continuum. It will explore how the Navy has adapted its warfighting 
capabilities to each new frontier and the challenges that lie ahead
