The Distinguished Professor Seminar Series with David Korevaar

The University of Colorado Boulder's Retired Faculty Association (UCBRFA) welcomes you to the 16th and first "in-person" Distinguished Professor Seminar Series presentation with Distinguished Professor, David Korevaar.   

Professor Korevaar will perform two large-scale works by Cécile Chaminade as well as discuss her career and the trajectory from fame to obscurity

The Performance:

  • The Sonata in C minor, op. 21 (composed in the 1880s, but not published until 1895)
  • The Piano Trio No. 1 in G minor, op. 11 (1881)
    • For the trio, he will be joined by his colleagues in the College of Music, Charles Wetherbee, violin, and Meta Weiss, cello.

 

 This thrilling presentation will be held at the Grusin Music Auditorium in the College of Music. 

 

The Distinguished Professors Seminar Series are lecture and presentation-based events featuring some of our finest professors and their extraordinary research and scholarly work, hosted by UCBRFA.
