DESCRIPTION:The BOLD Center and the Ann and H.J. Smead Aerospace Engineerin
 g Sciences department will be hosting NASA Legend Dr. Christine Darden.  \
 n\nDr. Darden will be speaking with the college as a part of Black History
  Month celebrations\, sharing her life experiences as an engineer. \n\nDur
 ing her 40-year career at NASA she served as the deputy program manager of
  The TU-144 Experiments Program – an element of NASA's High Speed Resear
 ch Program. In 1999\, she was appointed as the director in the Program Man
 agement Office of the Aerospace Performing Center where she was responsibl
 e for Langley research in air traffic management and other aeronautics pro
 grams managed at other NASA Centers. \n\nDarden also served as technical c
 onsultant on numerous government and private projects\, and is the author 
 of more than 50 publications in the field of high lift wing design in supe
 rsonic flow\, flap design\, sonic boom prediction\, and sonic boom minimiz
 ation.\n\nRegistration required.  There will be an opportunity to ask ques
 tions during the webinar.
