Join the University Libraries for a virtual talk by Sofia Leung which will explore racism’s permanence and prevalence within libraries as institutions. Leung will present examples of where and how racism and white supremacy show up in libraries, particularly academic libraries. Attendees will leave the talk with recommendations and suggestions on how we can shift our work towards anti-racist practices.

Leung is a Chinese American librarian and educator. She is also the founding editor of up//root: a we here publication and co-editor of Knowledge Justice:Disrupting Library and Information Studies Through Critical Race Theory.
