DESCRIPTION:The scientific evidence is piling up: people don’t act on infor
 mation\, they act on what they care most about.  Christiano will discuss si
 x core principles from behavioral\, cognitive and social science that you c
 an apply to help people care more about your work. In this lively and hands
 -on session\, you will learn to apply these rules to your own work and leav
 e with a science-based framework for approaching new communications challen
 ges.\n\nAnn Christiano\, the Frank Karel Chair in Public Interest Communica
 tions and the Director of the Center for Public Interest Communications at 
 the University of Florida\, will be presenting at CU Boulder October 23. Me
 mbers of campus and public communities are invited to attend her interactiv
 e presentation on Wednesday\, October 23 at 1:30 pm in Old Main Chapel. Her
  interactive presentation is entitled “The Science of Making People Care." 
 There will be a reception upstairs immediately after Christiano's presentat
 ion (light fare and refreshments provided)\, which will end at 4 pm.\n\nChr
 istiano’s visit to campus is being organized by CU Engage\, and is co-spons
