The Graduate School hosts its second annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on Friday, Feb. 1, in the UMC 235, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Competitors will describe their research in three minutes, using only one static slide, in front of a panel of judges and a live audience. This event is free and open to the public.

The first-place winner will receive $1,500 in research funds and the opportunity to represent the university at the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS) competition in Tucson, AZ, in early March 2019. The runner-up will receive $750 in research funds, and the People’s Choice winner will receive $500 in research funds.
