https://www.colorado.edu/graduateschool/professional-development/three-minute-thesis-3mtr/3mtr-final-competition #GRADPROFDEV, GRADBUFFS, 3MTThe Graduate School hosts its sixth annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Final Competition on Thursday, Feb. 2, in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom, from 4-6:30 p.m. Competitors will describe their complex research in three minutes, using only one static slide, in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.
The first-place winner will receive $1,500 in research funds and the opportunity to represent the university at the Western Association of Graduate Schools (WAGS) competition in Portland, OR, in early March 2023. The runner-up will receive $750 in research funds, and the People’s Choice winner will receive $500 in research funds.
Judges for this year’s event are Theresa D. Hernández, director of the Crawford Family WHOLE Student Athlete Research and Programming, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, and a professor of psychology and neuroscience; Todd Saliman, University of Colorado President; Sriram Sankaranarayanan, professor of computer science; and John Tayer, President and CEO of the Boulder Chamber.
