Are you curious or concerned about AI Detector use in assessing student work? Do you wonder what your peers think and feel about these tools and practices? Join Ann Ruether of the Academic Technology Initiatives team at the Office of Information Technology to learn about the results of a campus-wide AI Detector Use survey. In this session we will explore insights gained from the survey while discussing attitudes about, ethical issues associated with, and varying practices for using, or avoiding, AI Detection solutions in student assessment. Leave the session with a deeper understanding of AI Detection and the potential harms or benefits for educators and students when considering using these tools.
