Format and Purpose: In this fully virtual event, UROP hosts light-hearted interviews with faculty from a wide range of departments, then you meet in breakout rooms.
Though you may connect with a potential project mentor, the purpose of the event is to help you develop confidence in approaching faculty about research and creative work—while highlighting many paths to success. Students who participate are likely to be surprised by the less direct and more failure-marked stories of the successful faculty behind the impressive headlines—and find more in common!
