Virtual Program for teachers with classes: Rock Star: Behind the Scenes with a Geologist
How does a geologist go from collecting rocks outside to getting data for scientific research? Teachers and their classrooms are invited for an insider's look into a Geochemistry lab, exploring the tools used to answer important climate questions, and engaging with CU's Juliana Olsen-Valdez, a young scientist, who will share how she collects samples in the field and processes them in the lab to change what we know about Geology!
Classes presented in MST @ 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM & 1 PM via Zoom
This free, real-time, 45-minute program provides teachers and their classes an opportunity to talk directly with a young female CU Scientist and virtually tour a state-of-the-art analytical laboratory in Benson Earth Science building.
