Award-winning choreographer and CU Boulder Assistant Professor of Dance Helanius J. Wilkins and Kate Mattingly, a nationally recognized scholar and Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Theatre Arts at Old Dominion University, will share an intimate conversation about dance, social change, and repair. The conversation will traverse topics including creative practice as archiving, the body as an archive, collaboration, and what is fueling Wilkins’s latest and most ambitious national work to date The Conversation Series: Stitching the Geopolitical Quilt to Re-Body Belonging. The event will include a Q & A with audience participants. 

Doors open at 6:45 P.M. and the program starts at 7 P.M.
Light refreshments will be available. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged for this FREE event. 

Mi Chantli Art and Movement Sanctuary is hosting this event at their beautiful studio. This event is aligned with their goal to cultivate community and give dancers, poets, artists and all creatives a place to be. Mi Chantli is proudly Mexican/Chicano owned. Chantli is an Aztec word that means home—the message of the studio is that Mi Chantli es tu Chantli (my home is your home).
