Wealthy Wednesdays: Money Management Basics

Join the Office of First-Generation Programs & Enrichment and rita zhang with Community Roots Financials (CRF) as we continue our Wealthy Wednesday series on October 13th at 6pm MST via Zoom. Budgeting? Cash flow? Bills? Ack! Where do you start? How do you start? Why even bother?! This session will cover money management basics and demystify the world of managing money. No experience necessary and all questions are welcome! Come prepared to learn and discuss money management strategies for the school year.

rita (she/her/hers) is a financial empowerment educator, facilitator, and coach. She brings 14+ years of social justice experience from movement-building, direct service, and education spaces to her financial work. She founded CRF to create and hold space for low-income and working class communities to be whole, joyful, and free through financial empowerment.

rita uniquely interweaves the personal, emotional, and political aspects of money. While supporting people to reach their financial goals, she offers critical education to unpack the harmful effects of racism, capitalism, and classism. Through CRF, she hopes to spark greater collective organizing towards equitable economic conditions that serve the needs of all people.

Please RSVP by Monday, October 11th at Noon MST.

We look forward to seeing you there. If you require accommodations, please contact cisc@colorado.edu. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

P.S. Students who attend 2+ Wealthy Wednesdays workshops per semester will be automatically entered into a raffle drawing for a free 1-hour financial coaching session with rita! :)
