About this Event
Join us 9-10 a.m. MDT on Wednesday, April 13 for a Weather Ready Research Webinar. This event is hosted by the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado Boulder and will showcase the results from the 9 projects that were awarded through a special call from our Weather Ready Research Award Program. These awards were made possible with the support of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Science Foundation.
Presentations will highlight the results from completed and forthcoming reports from each of the research teams. These projects focus on how members of diverse publics—including National Weather Service stakeholders—receive, interpret, and respond to warnings and forecasts of high impact weather events that endanger life and property and how to best communicate weather events to various stakeholders.
The first 20 minutes of the webinar will provide an overview of the Weather Ready Research initiative and the research that was funded. Researchers will then give brief presentations and share the implications of their work. Time will be reserved at the end of the webinar for questions and answers. You can learn more and register for the webinar here.
