What Comes Next: Embracing the Future of Teaching and Learning

A half day conference for higher education teaching and learning professionals from the Colorado region to share what has been working in our institutions and what is emerging for the year ahead.

Higher education has faced numerous challenges over the last few years, with faculty and students having to adapt quickly to new modes of teaching and learning. With those adaptations have come additional challenges and hardships for many people. There have also been opportunities and a tremendous growth in understanding about our students and communities. As professionals who have supported these changes, we see many bright spots and reasons to be hopeful for the future. What have we learned from teaching in times of crisis? What can we use to improve our practice and the learning environments we prepare for all of our students?

This half day event will bring together higher education teaching and learning professionals from the Colorado region to share what has been working in our institutions and what is emerging for the year ahead. The meeting will feature talks by colleagues at community colleges and four-year institutions in the state on two themes:

  • Engaging Learning Spaces: Preparing Faculty for Innovative Teaching
  • Thriving Campuses: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Efforts

This event is brought to you by the Colorado Collaboration for Higher Education Teaching and Learning Professionals.
