Whether one is a novice TA or a senior faculty member, student evaluations of teaching (at CU, the Faculty Course Questionnaire) exert a peculiarly powerful influence on instructors as they make decisions about what and how to teach. This session will present and discuss recent research on student evaluations, and suggest how instructors might interpret and make constructive use out of FCQs and other types of informal evaluations of teaching
