Title: Women in Sports: The Long Road to Equity

Abstract: Since the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900, where 22 women out of 997 athletes participated in five sports, the involvement of women in sports has gradually increased. At the decision-making level, progress has been less impressive. There were no women members of the OIC until 1981 and, as of today, there are 38 women out of 102. Of the 43 honorary members, only two are women. The portraying of female athletes in media also needs to be much improved, both qualitatively and quantitively.

Please join us on Oct. 6 in Boulder at the Institute for Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado or online to discuss with amazing speakers women in sports. (9.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. MDT; 11.30 a.m.-2.30 p.m. EDT; 19.30-22.30 EST)
