Join us at the Boulder Bookstore for a series of lectures on authors from around the world, presented by faculty from CU Boulder! In this lecture, Catherine Labio will discuss Dominique Goblet, a Belgian artist and comics author. Goblet has published several books with avant-garde comics publishers Frémok and L’Association, including the dazzling autobiography Pretending Is Lying. Goblet was President of the Grand Jury of the Angoulême International Comic Festival in 2019. She lives in Brussels and teaches narrative drawing at the ERG Academy of Fine Arts. She is also a certified electrician, plumber, and welder.
