Writing Compelling Chair’s Letters (and other letters of support for colleagues)

About this Event
Join the Research & Innovation Office for tips on how to write a strong chair’s letter of support. Chairs are called upon to write letters in support of promotion, research grants, sabbaticals, honorific awards, graduate student funding and a host of other honors that call on leadership to speak to their colleagues' attributes. A letter that falls short of the mark is of little value to reviewers. As such, this workshop aims to help academic leaders understand the key components and considerations of an effective letter of support.
