Yoga for Clarity and Calm

Set the tone for the day with an inward journey into poses designed to soothe the nervous system, awaken ourselves physically and mentally, ease anxiety and relieve tension.  Through deepening into awareness of sensation, into what is being experienced now, we expose where in the body/mind there is disharmony. Here there is no perfect pose, instead we adapt the pose in a way that does not excite the nervous system, allowing the natural healing power within to be awakened. With yoga sequences based on the bio-mechanics of the body, somatic practices and other contemplative forms, this is a yoga practice for the modern world.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn to ease anxiety and tension and enhance focus, concentration and promote a more relaxed, comfortable state of being.
  • Participants should also expect to experience simple mindfulness practices to keep themselves calm, clear, and physically integrated.
