Canceled: Zen Meditation

Interested in learning to meditate? Looking to unwind at the end of a busy day? Already have a practice and hoping to find others who share your passion for zazen?

Join us. If you are unfamilar with Zen, come 15 minutes early and receive a brief introduction about how to sit. We will meditate for 25 minutes and then have a brief discussion about the experience and Zen practice. This will be followed by an optional 10-minute sitting.

Each Thursday this semester, meditation will be led by Dr. Sigman Myoshin Byrd, senior instructor in the Program for Writing and Rhetoric, an 11-year zazen practitioner, member of the Eon Zen Center in Boulder and student of Sensei Paul Gyodo Agostinelli. For more information or to reserve a spot, email Sigman (“Myoshin,”) at sigman.byrd@colorado.edu.
