Zen Meditation

Interested in learning to meditate? Looking to unwind at the end of a busy day? Already have a practice and hoping to find others who share your passion for zazen?

Come learn about Zen. We will sit for 25 minutes, then have a brief discussion about Zen and the experience of doing zazen (sitting meditation).

Each Thursday this semester, meditation will be led by Dr. Sigman Myoshin Byrd, senior instructor in the Program for Writing and Rhetoric, a 12-year zazen practitioner, member of the Eon Zen Center in Boulder and student of Sensei Paul Gyodo Agostinelli.

For more information and to reserve a spot, email Sigman at sigman.byrd@colorado.edu. All meetings will be online via Zoom. Once you email Sigman, he will send you a Zoom link.

If you are new to sitting, log on at 5:45 p.m. for details about posture and getting comfortable on the cushion.
