University Theatre

With its main entrance facing onto the quadrangle, the University Theatre building, built in 1904, helped to define the shape of Norlin Quadrangle. Originally a library, the building only turned into a theatre after the completion of Norlin Library in 1940. The grand staircase leading to the arching entranceway and the intricately wrought lampposts framing it are appropriately dramatic to house CU Theatre and Dance.
